Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff der Versetzung wurde vor 30 Jahren eingeführt, um die Diskrepanz zwischen der Theorie und den Experimenten bei der Festigkeit und der plastischen Deformation von Kristallen zu erklären.16–20 Vor etwa 10 Jahren wurden die Versetzungen zur Erklärung des Kristallwachstums bei niedriger Übersättigung aus dem Dampf und aus der Lösung herangezogen21,22. Kurze Zeit darauf konnten die Versetzungen experimentell sowohl an natürlichen1 als auch an künstlichen Kristallen2 nachgewiesen und am Seifenblasenmodel3 demonstriert werden. Seit der Zeit sind Untersuchungen über Versetzungen und deren Wechselwirkung mit verschiedenen Kristalleigenschaften erstaunlich angewachsen. Es sollen hier nur die wichtigsten Ergebnisse, insbesondere solche, die für das Kristallwachstum von Bedeutung sind, behandelt werden.
