Abstract

This chapter treats parameter-adaptive controllers which are based on suitable parameter estimation methods, controller design methods and control algorithms, c.f. chapter 23. The relevant parameter estimation methods were discussed in chapter 24 and 25. This chapter is therefore mainly devoted to the discussion of combining the identified process model with appropriate controller design methods, to examining the resulting behaviour, to give examples of various parameter-adaptive control systems and their applications, the continuous supervision, etc.
