Parameter-optimized Controllers

  • Chapter
Digital Control Systems

Abstract

As parameter-optimized controllers have P-, PI- or PID-behaviour a number of attempts have been made to transfer their equations into sampled-data form by discretization. The established experience with continuous-time controllers could then be used, and, in principle, their well-known tuning rules could be applied. Furthermore, retraining of plant personnel is obviated [5.1– 5.5].
