Zusammenfassung

1959 haben Jacobs und Strong (6) zeigen können, daß Patienten mit echtem, d. h. chromatinpositivem Klinefelter-Syndrom 47 Chromosomen anstatt der normalen Zahl von 46 besitzen und daß es sich bei dem überzähligen Chromosom um ein X-Chromosom handelt. Die Geschlechtschromosomenkonstitution dieser Patienten wäre demnach also XXY.
