General pathology of the musculo-skeletal system

  • Chapter
Die Organe

Part of the book series: Handbuch der Allgemeinen Pathologie ((1708,volume 3 / 2))

Abstract

In keeping with the motto of this volume, “organ structure as the basis of organ function and organ disease”, I have emphasized new basic data which have become available in recent years through new investigational approaches. This emphasis reflects my conviction that such data are the essential building stones for any valid modern concept of general pathology.

This article is dedicated to Dr. Paul Klemperer of New York on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

Finished July 1957 with a final revision March 1958.
