Zusammenfassung
Die Einpflanzung von radioaktiven Stäbchen in die Sella turcica auf dem Nasenweg ist technisch einfach und verursacht dem Patienten nur wenig Störung. Wenn jedoch die Hypophyse völlig zerstört werden soll, ohne den optischen Nerv und andere eng verbundene Strukturen zu beschädigen, dann ist es wesentlich, ein radioaktives Isotop zu wählen, das Strahlungen begrenzter Ausdehnung abgibt.
