Die Frage, ob eine Behandlung mit Antihypertensiva das Operationsrisiko erhöht, weil die Führung der Narkose durch diese Praemedikation wesentlich erschwert wird, ist noch heute Gegenstand kontroverser Diskussionen (2, 7, 10). Deshalb ist es auch noch nicht endgültig entschieden, wie sich der Internist vor einer geplanten Operation verhalten soll: Birgt das Absetzen der blutdrucksenkenden Medikation oder die Weiterführung das größere Risiko für den Patienten?
