Abstract
The history of testicular descent is closely connected with the expression of masculinity and as such can be traced back to ancient Egypt. The eunuchs with their habitus were a well-described phenomenon. During the Middle Ages one of the precepts of canon law required that all candidates for the priesthood must have “duo testes bene pendulam” [1].
