Abstract

Various aspects of psychological stress and behavior in response to stress have been implicated in the etiology of chronic mental and physical disease. A set of relationships of particular interest are those among psychological stress, personality factors, and coronary heart disease (CHD). This subject area is currently receiving considerable attention, and might well become an important model problem in the larger context of stress and health.
