Untersuchungen der Hornhautfragilität

Zusammenfassung

Auf eine eingesetzte spezielle Corneosklerallinse mit einer planen Zentralzone wird 4 min lang ein negativer Druck ausgeübt. Nach Einfärbung mit Fluorescein werden die evtl. Epithelveränderungen biomikroskopisch beobachtet. Unterschiedliche Ergebnisse in bezug auf die Fragilität des Epithels sind möglich. Außer der Bedeutung für die Kontaktoptik ist dieser Test eine Untersuchungsmethode für den Zustand des Epithels, abhängig von allgemeinen Erkrankungen und dem Einfluß einiger Arzneimittel.

Résumé

Sur une lentille cornéo-sclérale spéciale avec une zone centrale plate est exercée pendant 4 minutes une pression négative. Après la coloration à la fluorescéine les eventuels changements de l’épithélium sont à observer au biomicroscope.

Des résultats différents à l’égard de la fragilité de l’épithélium sont possibles.

Ce test n’est pas seulement important pour l’optique de contact, il est également une méthode d’analyse de l’état de l’épithélium, dépendant de maladies générales et de 1’influence de certains médicaments.

Summary

On a special corneo-scleral lens with a plane central zone a negative pressure has to be brought for 4 minutes. After colouring with fluorescein the eventual changes of the corneal epithelium have to be observed biomicroscopically. Differant results with regard to the fragility of the epithelium are possible.

Besides the importance for the contact-optics, this method allows the analysis of the epithelium, depending on general deseases and the influence of some medicines.
