Zusammenfassung

Man versteht unter Spontanpneumothorax das mehr oder weniger rasche Auftreten einer Luftansammlung im Brustfellraum ohne klinisch erkennbare direkte äußere Ursache. Der traumatische Pneumothorax ist im VI Abschnitt S. S 70 ff. besprochen. Aus der Definition geht hervor, daß der Spontanpneumothorax immer ein sog. innerer Pneumothorax ist, bei welchem die Luft, abgesehen von ganz seltenen Ausnahmen, aus der Lunge ausströmt. Er tritt mehr oder weniger stürmisch durch stechende Schmerzen, Beklemmungsgefühl und Kurzatmigkeit in Erscheinung.
