Biological Transformation of Wood by Microorganisms

Abstract

Succession of microorganisms, especially of macrofungi on different wood fractions, have been investigated over a long period of time, mainly by sporophore studies (Chesters 1950, Jahn 1962, Spaulding and Hansbrough 1944, Buchanan 1940. Stiwell 1959, Henningsson 1967).
