Abstract
Although scrotal examination is normal, the Clinician suspects underlying intrascrotal pathology, particularly tumour. Ultrasound examination is invaluable in 3 circumstances:
-
investigation of the aetiology of lymphadenopathy, particularly retroperitoneal, in a young adult male;
-
investigation of the aetiology of gynaecomastia;
-
investigation of unexplained, persistent scrotal pain, particularly in a young man.
