  • Conference paper

Abstract

It is estimated that in the Federal Republic of Germany there are about 10,000 to 20,000 people suffering from lung sarcoidosis. On the basis of this figure it is however not possible to judge the significance of this disease, either in relation to those concerned or in relation to public health. We require details as regards the average duration of the disease, its consequences on the ability to work and its final outcome, be it disablement or death.
