Abstract
5-Hydroxytryptamine base. Mouse, LD 50 by intravenous route: 160 mg/kg (Freyburger et al. 1952), 135 mg/kg (Higginbotham 1959); by intraperitoneal route: 280 mg/kg (Spencer and West 1961), 340 mg/kg (Fishel et al. 1962); by subcutaneous route: > 868 mg/kg (Freyburger et al. 1952). Rat, LD 50 by intravenous route: 30mg/kg; by subcutaneous route: approximately 117 mg/kg (Freyburger et al. 1952).
