Abstract

The histological problems of interest to the pharmacologist, when he studies substances occuring naturally in organisms, are extremely varied. Besides questions of a more general nature, which arise in the study of any substance of pharmacological import, there are some peculiar to this particular type of investigation (Vialli 1962, 1964). In the first place it bears essentially on the localization of the substance and on the determination of its nature; as such it is common to the general field of histological investigation, or more specifically to its histochemical branch.
