Zusammenfassung
Da Ätiologie und Pathogenese von chronisch entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen weitgehend unbekannt sind, ist auch die Langzeitbetreuung pragmatisch und symptomatisch. Im Vordergrund stehen eine Therapie zur Überwindung der akuten Phase mit konservativen Maßnahmen, die Verhinderung oder Behandlung von Komplikationen, eine Verlängerung der Remission, das Erkennen eines Rezidivs und die evtl. notwendige rechtzeitige Entscheidung zur Operation oder erneut konservativ stationärer Therapie [1]. Weiterhin sollten psychische und soziale Probleme angesprochen werden.
