Zusammenfassung
Die Notwendigkeit der kaB-Methode ergibt sich aus dem Mangel an genauen Kenntnissen über den Verlauf von Blutzuckerschwankungen bei Stoffwechselgesunden, bei Diabetes mellitus und anderen Störungen der Blutzuckerregulierung einschließlich hypoglykämischer Erscheinungen. Nur kontinuierliche Meßdaten können die nötigen Einzelheiten über Spitzen- und Tiefstwerte sowie die Änderungsgeschwindigkeit von Blutzuckerschwankungen geben — wenigstens für Forschungszwecke.
