Zusammenfassung
Ein schwangerschaftsinduzierter Bluthochdruck kann Ausdruck einer Schwangerschaftsoxämie sein, jedoch auch als nosologische Einheit aufgefaßt werden, wenn er in der Spätschwangerschaft auftritt und nach der Entbindung wieder abklingt. Es finden sich Hinweise darauf, daß diese Hochdruckform als Erstmanifestation einer essentiellen Hypertonie angesehen werden kann, die durch die Schwangerschaft demaskiert wird [2, 3]. Während der normalen Schwangerschaft treten charakteristische Veränderungen des kardiovaskulären Systems mit Anstieg des Blutvolumens und des Herzschlagvolumens und eine Senkung des peripheren Gefäßwiderstandes auf. Patientinnen, deren Schwangerschaften durch das Auftreten einer Hypertonie kompliziert sind, entwickeln jedoch eine Erhöhung des peripheren Gefäßwiderstandes; die Faktoren, die die Veränderungen des Gefäßtonus bedingen, sind unvollständig bekannt [6].
