Zusammenfassung
Die Einschwemmung von Endotoxin in die Zirkulation bei Infektion oder Sepsis aktiviert die intravaskuläre Gerinnung, wobei im Extremfall es zur Mikrogerinnselbildung kommen kann (Übersicht siehe [5]). Endotoxin ruft sowohl an Thrombocyten, Leukocyten und Endothelzellen Veränderungen hervor, die Ursache einer Aktivierung der intravaskulären Gerinnung sein können. Es ist bekannt, daß Leukocyten für die Auslösung der intravaskulären Gerinnung essentiell sind [1, 6]. Die Bedeutung der Thrombocyten im Rahmen eines intravasalen Gerinnungsprozesses ist jedoch nicht eindeutig geklärt.
