Zusammenfassung
Morphologisch erfaßbar sind nur diejenigen Störungen des Eisenstoffwechsels, die mit einer gesteigerten Speicherung des Eisens einhergehen. Die Ablagerung des nicht im Enzymsystem eingebauten Eisens erfolgt unter physiologischen und unter pathologischen Bedingungen im Cytoplasma von Parenchym- und Mesenchymzellen unter Bindung an das Trägerprotein Apoferritin. Anorganische Eisenoxiphosphatmizellen, welche etwa die Zusammensetzung (FeOOH)8 · (FeOOPO3H2) × besitzen, und Apoferritin bilden zusammen die chemisch und kristallographisch gut bekannten Ferritinmoleküle, die auch im Elektronenmikroskop leicht erkennbar sind. Bei einer stärkeren Eisenspeicherung lagern sich im Cytoplasma Ferritinmoleküle zu Konglomeraten zusammen, werden von einer Cytomembran umgeben und zu sekundären Lyosomen umgeformt (Bennett, 1956; Bessis, 1959; Richter, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960; Wessel u. Gedigk, 1959; Muir u. Goldberg, 1961; Trump u. Mitarb., 1973, 1975; weitere Literatur: Gedigk, 1961, 1964, sowie Crichton, 1975). Diese eisenspeichernden und eisenverarbeitenden sekundären Lysosomen sind als Pigmentgranula lichtmikroskopisch nachweisbar.
