Zusammenfassung

Die Mortalität des Coma hepaticum beträgt 90–95% [1]. Auch Therapieversuche, wie Austauschtransfusionen [2], homologer und heterologer Kreuzaustausch [3,4], extrakorporale Leberperfusion [5], die von Klebanoff [6] 1972 propagierte Schnellauswaschmethode, die medikamentöse Therapie mit L-Dopa [7] oder die Gabe von Australia-Antikörper-haltigem Serum [8] haben die Mortalitätsrate nicht entscheidend beeinflussen können.
