Zusammenfassung

Während die antihypertensive Wirkung der β-Rezeptorenblocker bei verschiedenen Hypertonieformen heute gesichert ist [6, 10, 11, 12], besteht über ihren Wirkungsmechanismus noch keine Klarheit. Diskutiert wird u. a. eine Interferenz der β-Rezeptorenblocker mit dem Renin-Angiotensin-System [1 bis 3, 7 bis 9, 14 bis 16]. Hypertoniepatienten mit hohen Rennspiegeln unter Natrium- und Volumenrestriktion sollen für eine Therapie mit β-Blockern besonders geeignet sein [2].
