Zusammenfassung
In den letzten zehn Jahren hat die Elektrophysiologie durch die Einführung interventiver kurativer und palliativer, die Behandlung der Grundkrankheit zum Teil ergänzender Verfahren eine schnelle Entwicklung erfahren. In erster Linie richteten sich die Anstrengungen auf die tachykarden ventrikulären Rhythmusstörungen mit drohendem plötzlichen Herztod und die tachykarden, hämodynamisch zum Teil bedrohlichen, häufig rezidivierenden und oder medikamentös nicht therapierbaren supraventrikulären Rhythmusstörungen.
