Zusammenfassung

Vorhof unabhängige, frequenzadaptive Schrittmachersysteme gewinnen zunehmende Bedeutung in der Therapie bradykarder Rhythmusstörungen. Die Entwicklung dieser sensorgeführten Systeme geschieht in der Absicht, bei verschiedenen bradykarden Rhythmusstörungen mit inadäquater oder fehlender Sinusfunktion trotz Dysfunktion dieses primären Impulsgebers eine Frequenzadaptation auf wechselnde Belastungssituationen zu ermöglichen.
