Zusammenfassung

Seit Durchführung der ersten transluminalen Ballondilatation einer Herzkranzgefäßverengung 1977 durch Andreas Grüntzig (3) hat das Verfahren rasche weltweite Verbrei tung gefunden und ist heute neben der medikamentösen Behandlung und der Bypasschirurgie als dritte Therapieform der koronaren Herzkrankheit etabliert.
