In der herzchirurgischen Fachliteratur ist schon seit zehn Jahren die operative Behandlung der koronarkranken Frau Gegenstand der Diskussion. Inzwischen hat sogar die öffentliche Medienwelt die Chancenungleichheit der koronarkranken Frau bei der operativen Behandlung kommentiert (New York Times, 1985).
