Zusammenfassung
Eine semipermeable Membran ist eine Membran, die für bestimmte Komponenten einer fluiden Mischung durchlässig, für andere Komponenten der Mischung aber undurchlässig ist. So stellt etwa eine Cellophanfolie in einem flüssigen System aus Toluol und Polystyrol eine semipermeable Membran dar; denn nur das Toluol, nicht aber das Polystyrol kann die Folie passieren.
