Zusammenfassung

Bewegungsstörungen oder Dyskinesien können fünf Kategorien zugeordnet werden: Tremor, Chorea, Myoklonus, Torsionsstörungen oder Athetosen und Tics (Marsden und Parkes, 1973). Die ersten vier Symptomenkomplexe sind die üblichen Manifestationen medikamentös induzierter Dyskinesien bei alten Patienten. Tics beginnen meist schon in der Pubertät und haben wahrscheinlich keinen Krankheitswert im Alter. Medikamentös bedingte Bewegungsstörungen können akut auftreten, sie manifestieren sich jedoch häufiger im Zusammenhang mit chronischer Arzneimitteltherapie. Orofaziale Dyskinesien und Akathisie stellen gering modifizierte choreiforme Bewegungen dar, während der Blepharospasmus eine Form des Myoklonus ist.
