Zusammenfassung
Die Carotissinusnerven-Stimulation (CSN-Stimulation) stellt nach den Erfahrungen verschiedener Arbeitsgruppen (1, 4, 7, 8) eine wirksame therapeutische Alternative in der Behandlung schwerer, invalidisierender Angina pectoris dar. Der therapeutische Effekt dieser Methode ist hauptsächlich auf eine Verminderung des peripheren Gefäßwiderstandes zurückzuführen, d. h. auf eine arterielle Drucksenkung. Die myokardiale Sauerstoffbilanz wird außerdem durch eine negativ chronotrope und inotrope Wirkung günstig beeinflußt.
