Abstract
Three-dimensional inner structure of the flow through a non-uniform duct is numerically studied. Continuity equation and unsteady Navier-Stokes equation for incompressible fluid is solved by means of MAC-method. Computational results are compared with Yoshida et al’s experimental data. They agree well with each other. It is found that vorticity components of specified direction increase in the downstream direction. Behavior of the vorticity is roughly explained by the deformation of vortex ring genarated near the wall.
