Abstract

Denmark belongs to the few countries in Europe without full-time positions for paediatric radiologists. The examinations are still performed by general radiologists, many of them, however, with special interest in paediatric radiology. This particularly applies to the University Hospitals of Copenhagen (KAS Gentofte, KAS Glostrup, Hvidovre Hospital, and Riks-hospitalet), Odense, Aalborg and Aarhus and, to a lesser extent to four Central (County) Hospitals. Paediatrics, but in particular paediatric surgery, mainly is centralized in the University Hospitals.
