Abstract

Results of recent Monte Carlo studies on random-bond and random-site Ising models are reviewed. In the two-dimensional case, the simulations clarify a controversy between conflicting renormalization group theories, which predict different critical exponents. Evidence for a crossover from the critical behaviour of the perfect model to the dilution-dominated critical regime is found for the three-dimensional model.
