Zusammenfassung

Als erstes wurde von Hoyt et al. im Jahr 1973 über Anomalien der retinalen Nervenfaserschicht bei Patienten mit Glaukom berichtet. Die ersten von ihnen beobachteten Veränderungen bestanden in dünnen kerbenähnlichen Defekten oder Furchen im Bogenbereich der retinalen Nervenfaserschicht. In weiter fortgeschrittenen Fällen entwickelten sich keilförmige, lokalisierte Defekte.
