Abstract

A finite-size exact diagonalization technique is applied for the two-dimensional spin-1/2 Heisenberg Hamiltonian with the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction. The ground-state magnetic structure of the insulating CuO2 plane is examined for the low-temperature orthorhombic and tetragonal phases of the La2CuO4-type crystal.
