Abstract

I discuss how quantum effects modify the classical picture of the ground states of frustrated spin systems, such as the triangular lattice antiferromagnet and the square lattice model with next nearest neighbor interactions. I show that much more powerful numerical methods than available today are required to settle outstanding controversies about the type of ordering in these systems.
