Abstract
This paper considers the behaviour of a carbon fibre reinforced plastic panel containing a delamination under compressive loading. The occurence probability of two failure modes are calculated and a critical delamination size is derived from these. This value is then compared with the critical delamination size obtained using classical deterministic analysis.
