Abstract
This paper reviews recent work on the properties of YBa2Cu3O7 / PrBa2Cu3O7 superlattices. The study of these materials allows one to obtain important information about the role played by the interlayer coupling in the high temperature superconductors. Furthermore, investigations of the resistive transition in a magnetic field has shed new lights on the physical process leading to the dissipation in the superconducting state.
