Abstract
This chapter presents a review of the basic equations governing incompressible flow, with special emphasis on the representation of free-surfaces and turbulence dynamics. To simplify the mathematical treatment, certain restrictions are introduced. The fluid is assumed incompressible, Newtonian, and with uniform density.
