Abstract

Computer codes based on Narrow Band Models were developed in order to calculate total and spectral emissivities of gas-soot mixtures.

Comparisons with numerous published results are presented.

The agreement is good in the low temperature range (<1500 K) when parameters from AFGL are utilized; for higher temperatures the calculated values have a different behaviour, especially for long path-lengths.
