Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff „Risiko“ ist in den letzten Jahren zum Symbolbegriff der Krise im Verhältnis der Gesellschaft zu Wissenschaft und Technik geworden. Es geht dabei in erster Linie um gesundheitliche, ökologische und wirtschaftliche Risiken, aber auch um Gefahren für die psychosoziale Situation des Individuums und für die politische Verfassung der Gesellschaft. Beispielhaft seien die Diskussionen um Kraftwerke, Chemikalien, neue Medien, Datenschutz und Gentechnik genannt.
