Kinetic Factors in Electropolishing

A lot of hitherto performed works on electropolishing /ECP/ of metals and alloys, both theoretical and experimental, have been trying the only diffusional conception to take into account when considering the phenomena accompanying the process. The diffusional approach let to solve the diffusion equations [1, 2], taking into account diffusion, natural and/ or forced convections, and the solid film formation. The set of factors affecting the process and the output data are presented in Table 1.
