Electronic Band Structure of Graphite Intercalation Compounds

Abstract

This chapter reviews the results of electronic band structure calculations for several graphite intercalation compounds. Although we have attempted to include a broad range of results in this review, there are undoubtedly omissions for which we apologize. Earlier reviews of this subject were given by Fischer [2.1], Dresselhaus and Dresselhaus [2.2], Pfluger and Güntherodt [2.3a], and Kamimura [2.3b]. In addition, collections of electronic structure studies can be found in several conference proceedings and reports, some of which are listed in the references [2.4–14].
