Zusammenfassung
Der N. opticus und das Chiasma sind bei der MS in hohem Maße beteiligt, worauf bereits vor 100 Jahren Parinaud (1884) und Uhthoff (1890) hinwiesen. Führendes Symptom ist die meist plötzlich auftretende Sehstörung, die natürlich auch andere Ursachen wie etwa eine akute Chorioretinitis, kompressive Läsionen von Opticus und Chiasma oder auch ischämische Ausfälle wie bei der Arteriitis cranialis oder der vorderen ischämischen Opticusneuropathie haben kann.
