Abstract
The misunderstanding of the consequences of a non-uniform flow distribution on thermal and hydraulic performances generally involves a poor design of the heat exchanger. Thus, a numerical model is developped to predict the flow distribution, and is validated by experiences. It appears that the overall pressure drop is closely related to the flow distribution, and that the thermal performances are less affected. But heterogeneity in temperature is observed at the outlet of the channels.
