Resonant Magneto-Polarons in InSb

Abstract

Experiments on magneto-polarons in bulk InSb are described theoretically using Green’s function techniques. The narrow-gap band structure of InSb is taken into account not only in the energies but also in the electron wave functions. Resonant and nonresonant polaron corrections to the electron energies are included. Best description of different magneto-optical data is found for the phonon energy hωL=23.7meV. and the polar coupling constant α=0.02.
