Religion and science have been interrelated since the beginning of human history. The most striking change in the last 2 decades has been the secularization of bioethics. The identifiable religious influence on bioethics subsequently seemed to decline. The field of bioethics has moved from one dominated by religious and medical tradition to one now increasingly shaped by philosophical, social, and legal concepts.
