Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag beginnt mit einer kurzen einführenden Darstellung der Konzepte „Hypertext“ und Hypermedia und ihrer Bedeutung für die Entwicklung einer neuen Generation von Informations- und Publikationssystemen. Dabei wird auf z.Zt. bestehende Defizite dieser Systeme hingewiesen und die Berücksichtigung von Entwicklungen in anderen Gebieten (Datenbanken, Information Retrieval, Expertensysteme, Mensch-Computer-Interaktion) gefordert. Im zweiten Teil des Beitrags werden — ausgehend von den zuvor spezifizierten Bedingungen für die Kommunikation von Wissen — die theoretischen Grundlagen und die darauf basierenden Designentscheidungen für die Entwicklung des Hypertext-Autorensystems SEPIA (Structured Elicitation and Processing of Ideas) dargestellt.
