Two-Dimensional Carrier—Carrier Screening Studied with Femtosecond Photon Echoes
The two dimensional behavior of carrier-carrier screening is studied in a GaAs-GaAlAs quantum well structure with femtosecond photon echoes. The variation of the electron hole dephasing time with carrier density indicates that the screening is due to nearest neighbor interactions in a two dimensionnai electron-hole gas.
