Zusammenfassung

Die Ursache für Dysphagien findet sich vielfach in verschiedenen anatomischen und funktionellen Bereichen. Die Diagnostik der Dysphagien erfordert somit einen weitgefächerten Überblick über mögliche kausale Faktoren. Diese liegen nur zum Teil im HNO- ärztlichen Fachgebiet. Daneben müssen aber auch Funktionsstörungen zum Beispiel im internistischen, neurologischen und psychosomatischen Bereich gesucht werden. Die Fülle der pathogenetischen Faktoren und ihr Zusammenwirken erfordert bei der Diagnostik von Schluckstörungen ein diagnostisches Schema, nach dem die Hauptursachen der im Einzelfall vorliegenden Dysphagie relativ schnell eingegrenzt und danach einer spezielleren Funktionsdiagnostik und nachfolgenden Therapie zugeführt werden können.
